Melissa McDonald is an experienced disability professional who has been working alongside individuals, families and care teams for over 20 years as a support worker, case manager, client service manager, clinical and quality practice leader; and as a behaviour practitioner for 7 years. Melissa is passionate about improving the quality of life of individuals by applying a Positive Behaviour Support, strengths-based framework; underpinned by person-centred, trauma informed and Human Rights approaches. Melissa has a certificate IV in Disability Studies, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Disability and has participated in masters level studies in working with Indigenous Australians with disability in remote communities and training in Functional Behaviour Analysis with IABA (Institute for Applied Behaviour Analysis). Dynamic PBS aims to provide individuals, families and care teams in the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and surrounds, with high quality, evidence -based behaviour support, tailored to the individual’s needs and context. We aim to provide plans and resources that are easy to read and use in everyday life; and to provide behaviour practitioner support to help ‘put into action’ behaviour support plans and strategies so they make a difference and to ultimately improve the individual’s quality of life.
